This is not your normal cabbage/coleslaw salad (so leave those cabbage-hating preconceptions at the door!)! This salad is spicy, zesty, herby and really yummy!

Recipe: Cleansing (& Delicious!) Cabbage Salad

Serves: Two as a side dish or one very hungry health food lover!

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cabbage, sliced into thin strips
  • 1/8 red cabbage, sliced into thin strips
  • 2 spring onions, thinly sliced into rounds
  • 1 Tb. fresh coriander leaves, picked
  • 1 Tb. fresh mint leaves, picked
  • 1 chilli, sliced thinly
  • 1 tsp. ginger, grated
  • 1 tsp. black sesame seeds
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • Dressing: juice & zest of 1/2 lime, 2 Tb. olive oil, a few drops of sesame oil

How to:

  1. Slice and chop all ingredients where indicated. Add the ingredients to a bowl.
  2. Sprikle with the black sesame seeds, salt & pepper. Mix the dressing and pour over the salad.
  3. Serve with a protein source of your choice.

Enjoy!
