This is not your normal cabbage/coleslaw salad (so leave those cabbage-hating preconceptions at the door!)! This salad is spicy, zesty, herby and really yummy!
Recipe: Cleansing (& Delicious!) Cabbage Salad
Serves: Two as a side dish or one very hungry health food lover!
Ingredients:
- 1/4 cabbage, sliced into thin strips
- 1/8 red cabbage, sliced into thin strips
- 2 spring onions, thinly sliced into rounds
- 1 Tb. fresh coriander leaves, picked
- 1 Tb. fresh mint leaves, picked
- 1 chilli, sliced thinly
- 1 tsp. ginger, grated
- 1 tsp. black sesame seeds
- salt and pepper, to taste
- Dressing: juice & zest of 1/2 lime, 2 Tb. olive oil, a few drops of sesame oil
How to:
- Slice and chop all ingredients where indicated. Add the ingredients to a bowl.
- Sprikle with the black sesame seeds, salt & pepper. Mix the dressing and pour over the salad.
- Serve with a protein source of your choice.
