Hi all!
It’s giveaway time again! This time one of my lucky readers can win a copy of Nourish-ed‘s eBook, ‘The Nourish-ed Guide To Fermenting Foods: Anti-aging foods to heal the gut and boost immunity”. This ebook will teach you all you need to know to make many delicious fermented foods including drinks and vegetables!
Who are Nourish-ed?
Nourish-ed are Helen Padarin, Hedi East and Anna Howlett. They are a team of Naturopaths who “work to change the world one fermented veggie at a time… with the help of some raw milk and delicious real food”.
From the Nourish-Ed website:
“At Nourish-ed we aim to promote awareness and provide education about treatment options for immune disorders, digestive disorders and neurological disorders such as Autism, Asperger Syndrome and AD/HD, all of which have been on the rise in the last couple of decades. Dietary intervention, naturopathic solutions and a biomedical approach are crucial for the effective treatment of these disorders.
At Nourish-ed we also aim to educate and promote awareness about a truly nourish-ing diet for everyone. We’re passionate about fermented foods and traditionally prepared whole foods that are free from damaging and unnecessary processing and additives. We’d like to help you get away from politically correct food myths and fad diets. We want to make it easier for you to get back to real food, loaded with healthy nutrients. Watch excess weight peel off and vitality and energy pile on! A nourish-ing diet is the only way to achieve and maintain health for our ourselves and our environment”.
They also often hold fermented food workshops, so if you’re in Sydney be sure to look out for those (I often mention them on healthfoodlover so you won’t miss out)!

RT @LoverHealthFood: New Blog Post: Giveaway: WIN the Nourish-ed eBook The Nourish-ed Guide To Fermented Foods’ http://healthfoodlover.com/hfl/2010/11/g…
This is such a great giveaway! My husband and I were just talking about The Body Ecology Diet and how to add more fermented foods into our diets. I know it should be so simple – but it seems so overwhelming to me. I wish I had someone to walk me through each step. Maybe this could help. I’ve added Nourish-ed and you to my facebook likes for an extra 3 entries.
Out of the 10 tips for health, #3 is the one we need to implement the most. We’ve made most of the changes to our diets, except for this one. We are in the process of healing our son’s autism, and I know this would help him tremendously. Really crossing my fingers for this giveaway! Thanks again!
Hi Megan.
This book will definitely helps make fermenting easier and much simpler. Each method in the ebook has heaps of steps and processes to guide you.
Thanks for entering the giveaway and good luck!
Hint #3… Have a daily intake of fermented food is the one step that for me, is the most difficult. To win this book would make the process a little easier.
Thank you for the chance to win this prize.
Thanks for entering the competition Deb. Good luck!
Thank you for the introduction… I now ‘like’ Nourish-ed on Facebook.
I already ‘like’ Health Food Lover on Facebook.
I also receive email updates to the Health Food Lover blog.
I don’t have Twitter, 3 friends or my own blog… so that’s it from me.
Sorry, just forgot to ask…
Where can we buy this book?
Hi Deb. The eBook is not yet for sale- I’ll add updates about it on my blog and on facebook when it is available though.
Avoid packaged and processed food. Buy fresh unprocessed foods whenever possible, and do as much of your own cooking as possible. A fail safe guide to healthy eating.
Sure is :)
Someone taught me well! ;)

Thanks Butter! Thanks for hosting!
Hint #2 is the one I am trying to incorporate into my life more and more…We have a Farmer’s Market down the street and try to go there for my vegetables instead of the store…Thanx for the chance to win..
Thanks Cindy. Good luck!
I love giveaways that are truly inspired to help people live better rather than the latest kitchen gadget. I’m all for eating and being healthy, diet plays such an immense role in our lives and so many don’t even know it. Thanks so much for sharing with the Hearth and Soul hop.
Thanks Jason. It’s so true about the wonderful healing-power of a healthy diet! Thanks for commenting.
“Have a daily intake of fermented food, whether it is cultured vegetables, young coconut kefir, kefir cheese or milk kefir.”
I just found out today that I am getting a Harsch fermenting crock for Christmas so I would LOVE to win this. We make kefir and kombucha at home and buy lacto-fermented sauerkraut, but recently I’ve been wanting to add in more fermented foods. I currently have two experiments in my kitchen (bouza and rejuvelac), but I am really more interested in learning how to ferment a variety of veggies.
